A new chapter opens in The Book of Mormon with a cast change from February 2.
The cast of the Olivier Award-winning comedy will be led by Nic Rouleau as Elder Price and Brian Sears as Elder Cunningham.
They join continuing cast members Alexia Khadime, Stephen Ashfield, Hugo Harold-Harrison, and Chris Jarman at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London.
The full cast will include Josh Andrews, Gabrielle Brooks, Danny Colligan, Christopher Copeland, Nicholas Corre, Brendan Cull, Tim Edwards, Keisha T Fraser, Ross Hunter, Sia Kiwa, Dan Looney, Daniel Mackinlay, David McMullan, Tania Mathurin, Abiola Ogunbiyi, Oliver Ormson, Sean Parkins, Michael Peters, Ashley Samuels, Rhys Taylor, Ricardo Coke Thomas, and Kayi Ushe.
Both Brian and Nic are no strangers to The Book having appeared in the Broadway show. Nic has also appeared as Emmett in Legally Blonde: The Musical (US National Tour) and Marius in Les Miserables (Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Finger Lakes, US).
Brian’s theatre credits include Lend Me A Tenor (Music Box Theatre on Broadway), Finian’s Rainbow (St. James Theatre on Broadway) and Grease (Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Broadway).
The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical and the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album, follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s a long way from Salt Lake City.
The London production won four Olivier Awards in April 2014 including Best New Musical.
The very politically incorrect (and hysterically funny) show, directed by Casey Nicholaw, comes from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez. The Book Of Mormon is currently booking until March 7.
