“Poop poop! I say Mole, we’re off to the palace!”
Ratty, Mole, Badger and all their riverbank friends will be entertaining the crowds in grand style this summer with a visit to the splendid Blenheim Palace for a very grand, VIP performance of Wind In The Willows.
The historic venue is one of more than 40 stops, large and small, for Immersion Theatre Company’s family-friendly show which is touring the UK throughout the summer of 2017.
Wind In The Willows follows hard on the heels of Immersion’s hugely successful spring tour of Alice in Wonderland.
The new, open-air, 42-venue touring production, has been written and composed by Immersion’s James Tobias and Rob Gathercolethe, the same team behind last summer’s critically-acclaimed sell-out tour of The Wizard of Oz.
So pack your picnics and join Ratty, Badger and the fantastically irrepressible Toad as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime that leads to a colourful battle to save Toad Hall from the mischievous weasels.
Immersion Theatre plans a show bursting with its trademark style and energy plus heaps of audience interaction, stunning costumes, toe-tapping music and larger-than-life characters. It will be the perfect summer treat for all the family.
Immersion Theatre has gone from strength to strength since it was established in 2010 by producers and STAGE ONE alumni, James Tobias and Rochelle Parry.
In 2014 Immersion produced its first tour and just three years later, the company is now touring critically-acclaimed drama, family theatre, open-air musicals and musical theatre as well as being producers of pantomime.
At present, Immersion is producing Our House (2017 UK Tour), Alice in Wonderland (Spring 2017 UK Tour), Wind in the Willows (Summer 2017 UK Tour), multiple pantomimes for this Christmas, and its soon-to-be-announced spring 2018 UK Tour of another family classic.
Previous work includes UK tours of Journey’s End, The Wizard of Oz, Rapunzel, Romeo & Juliet, The Wind in the Willows, The Taming of the Shrew, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Immersion was also an associate producer on the recent, critically-acclaimed, UK Tour of Little Shop of Horrors starring X-Factor’s Rhydian Roberts.
