Veteran actress Priscilla Presley is hoping for magic when she spends Christmas in Milton Keynes, starring in its theatre’s pantomime – Aladdin.
The 70-year-old, who has enjoyed many a Yuletide entertaining audiences in our pantos, will be playing the Genie of the Lamp alongside UK showbiz stalwarts Gary Wilmot and Kevin Orkian.
Priscilla, who is best known for co-starring with Leslie Nielsen in the Naked Gun film series and for her role as Jenna Wade in Dallas, said: “I’ve done some amazing things in my career but, three years ago, I was introduced to the crazy world of pantomime and I can honestly say it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.
“My grandchildren absolutely loved seeing me on stage and I can’t wait to get out in front of a live audience again. It’s such a wonderful honour to be spending Christmas here and being part of this very special British festive tradition”.
Wilmot is playing the Dame, Widow Twankey, while another showbiz name, 67-year-old dancer, choreographer, actor and director, Wayne Sleep is the Genie of the Ring.
Singer/songwriter and former A1 boyband member Ben Adams will be climbing aboard the magic carpet as the eponymous hero, Aladdin.
Milton Keynes Theatre couldn’t resist welcoming back the world’s most famous ex-pat Armenian comedian, Kev Orkian, as Aladdin’s cheeky (and, according to him, better-looking) brother Wishee-Washee.
Aladdin runs from December 4-January 10.
