The sun is shining and theatre companies are rushing to announce the stars of their Christmas pantos.
Latest up is Aylesbury Waterside Theatre which is bringing back a host of familiar faces for Cinderella this December.
Cinders, running Dec 12-Jan 4, is to star the stunning Suzanne Shaw and, returning due to popular demand having won the hearts of the Vale two years ago, Russell Grant as Baron Hardup.
Russell and Suzanne are joined by local comic Andy Collins as Buttons, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Andrew Derbyshire as Prince Charming and singer/songwriter Holly Brewer in the title role.
Suzanne got her break 2001 when the ITV show Popstars launched a competition for contestants to become part of a newly formed pop band.
She went on to become one of the members of Hear’Say. In 2008 Suzanne was crowned Dancing On Ice champion in TV’s prime-time ITV1 show and hit our screens again last year in the Champion of Champions series.
For Russell, returning to Aylesbury: “Is like Christmas has come early!
“I had such a fabulous time in Peter Pan two years ago that when I was offered the chance to return I jumped at it.
“The town’s great, the theatre is gorgeous and the audiences were in a league of their own, a real blast to play to. I can’t wait!”
Tickets are now on sale.
