Tamara Harvey, artistic director of Theatr Clwyd has announced two world premières as part of the 2018 spring season.
Laura Wade makes her Theatr Clwyd debut with her comedy, Home, I’m Darling starring Katherine Parkinson in a first time co-production with the National Theatre.
And there is political satire wrapped up in a musical with Chris Bush and Matt Winkworth’s The Assassination of Katie Hopkins.
It will open in the Emlyn Williams Theatre in April with previews and will be directed by James Grieve, artistic director of Paines Plough.
Tamara Harvey directs Laura Wade’s comedy which will première in July ahead of transferring to the NT’s Dorfman Theatre later in the month.
Also in the season will be a re-imagined production of The Great Gatsby, directed by Alexander Wright, opening at The Dolphin Hotel, Mold, in February.
And, soon to be announced, a co-production with Southampton Theatres and English Touring Theatre, directed by Chelsea Walker, winner of the Royal Theatrical Support Trust Sir Peter Hall Award.
