West End smash hit Beatles show Let It Be comes to Royal & Derngate for six days, starting next Monday.
The show, a must for fans of the Fab Four, comes 51 years after the real band first visited the town in March 1963.
Now four talented musicians will take the stage for a spectacular concert charting the band’s rise from their humble beginnings in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, through the height of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces, which the band themselves never got to perform live.
Packed with over 40 of The Beatles’ greatest hits, including I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Hard Day’s Night, Day Tripper, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Strawberry Fields, When I’m 64 and Get Back, the show has delighted audiences around the world.
Featuring a stunning array of costumes, a backdrop of atmospheric period footage and some of the greatest pop songs of all time, Let It Be runs on the Derngate stage from May 26-31.
*For younger audiences the Moomins are back.
Puppetry, live music and heart-warming humour combine to bring Tove Jansson’s much-loved Moomins to life in a brand new adventure called Moominsummer Madness, ideal for ages four-plus.
This world première is staged in the venue’s Underground Studio from this Thursday until Sunday 1 June.
