The award-winning Lip Service Theatre is back on tour with its hilarious take on a literary classic.

Last seen at the Stephen Joseph Theatre with Inspector Norse and Withering Looks, comedy duo Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding return next month to present The Picture of Doreen Gray, co-produced by Oldham Coliseum Theatre.

Doreen Gray has it all, a drive time radio show, a high ratings lifestyle programme on Even More 4, but hitting 50, Doreen finds her face no longer fits the bill.

At a school reunion she stumbles across a youthful self-portrait and makes a dark and dreadful deal.

The production also features local community actors as Doreen’s schoolmates live on stage and on film, with ages ranging from 16 to 90 years.

The Picture of Doreen Gray can be seen at the Scarborough theatre November 5-8.
