Ricky Gervais is back as his alter ego David Brent for a national tour that is virtually sold out.
It comes after his phenomenally successful Work In Progress gigs last year.
Due to overwhelming demand, Brent and his band Foregone Conclusion will be performing at Oxford New Theatre next Wednesday and Thursday before heading to London to play the iconic Hammersmith Apollo.
It’s all a bit surreal when a character created from a sitcom takes on a life of his own. But David Brent’s ego was never going to be happy staying in Slough. He was destined for the big time.
So now he’s back with his “back catalogue” of hits. Expect to hear Free Love Freeway, Spaceman Came Down, Slough, Life on The Road, Ain’t No Trouble and “critically acclaimed” Lady Gypsy. Plus new, unheard material.
Tickets are liuke gold-dust but it’s worth a punt if you can get returns.
