Madcap musical whodunit, Murder For Two, heads to The Other Palace

Quirky Off-Broadway smash hit musical, Murder For Two, is back for a five-week engagement at The Other Palace following its sell-out European Premiere at The Watermill Theatre in 2017.

A hilarious high-energy musical whodunit, Murder For Two is a madcap murder mystery with a twist.

Two actors, accompanied by a piano, play thirteen characters in this acclaimed new show. Murder For Two is a hysterical blend of music, mayhem and murder, a loving homage to the canon of murder mystery plays.

It’s time to call in the detectives when famous novelist Arthur Whitney is found dead at his birthday party. The only problem is, they’re out of town.

Enter Officer Marcus Moscowicz, a neighbourhood cop who dreams of climbing the ranks. With the clock ticking, it’s up to Marcus to prove his super sleuthing skills and solve the crime before the real detective arrives.

Ed MacArthur (The Borrowers, Watermill Theatre) and Jeremy Legat (Grey Gardens, Southwark Playhouse), who both starred in the European Premiere, will reprise their performances as Officer Moscowicz and The Suspects.

Murder For Two has book and music by Joe Kinosian, with book and lyrics by Kellen Blair. It was formerly a huge hit Off-Broadway, playing at Second Stage Theatre in 2013 before transferring to New World Stages, where the run was extended several times.

This oddball show reunites producer-director team of Paul Taylor-Mills and Luke Sheppard who last worked together on their Olivier award-winning musical In The Heights.

Running at The Other Palace Studio from December 12 – January 13.
