Step back in time to the glory days of traditional Victorian music hall with Magnificent Music Hall at the Grove Theatre for a May 7 matinee.
For thirty years, BBC TV presented the much loved variety show, The Good Old Days which was watched by more than two million viewers across the world.
The show authentically recreated the atmosphere of Victorian music hall featuring a selection of songs, sketches and other variety acts.
Over 2,000 artistes took part in this phenomenal series and were applauded by more than 60,000 audience members.
Now a glittering galaxy of stars from the TV show is taking to the stage to delight and entertain you with songs, dance and magic, portraying, with great wit and warmth a truly golden era.
After the Victorian era, music hall rose to popularity again at the start of the First World War as an important part of the war effort.
This much loved form of entertainment was used at charity events as a way to raise money and to keep spirits high during the war.
With 2014 being a special centenary year, Magnificent Music Hall will feature a commemorative selection of the great songs which kept the home fires burning.
