You’d have thought with a name like Fletcher Neighbours’ star Alan Fletcher would be playing the heroic bowman in Robin Hood.
But soap’s Dr Karl Kennedy is flying half-way around the world this Christmas to play the evil Sheriff of Nottingham in Dunstable Grove Theatre’s panto, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood.
Robin Hood tells the story of an evil Sheriff and a hero…in tights. The Sheriff of Nottingham is spreading misery throughout Sherwood Forest placing taxes on the residents as part of his wicked scheme to take the Crown of England.
What they need is a hero, but will Robin Hood reach the mark?
This year’s pantomime at the Bedfordshire venue sees the biggest line up yet with a host of stars set to take the stage.
Alan Fletcher will be joined by the UK’s favourite ventriloquist Steve Hewlett, who won Britain’s Got Talent in 2013.
X Factor singing sensation and West End star Andy Abraham also joins the line up along with BRIT awarding winning Anna Kumble (’90s pop star Lolly).
Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood runs from December 12 – January 4.
