Chekov’s Three Sisters, reworked for the 21st century by writer Anna Reiss, comes to the Southwark Playhouse next month.
Holliday Grainger, Olivia Hallinan, Emily Taaffe and Paul McGann will head the cast at the London venue from April 3.
Three Sisters will run for a five-week season.
Holliday Grainger (Irina) played the Pope’s wayward daughter, Lucrezia Borgia, in three series of The Borgias on Sky Atlantic.
Olivia Hallinan (Olga) is best known as Laura Timmins in all four series of the BBC TV series Lark Rise to Candleford. Emily Taaffe (Masha) is an RSC regular.
Paul McGann (Vershinin) is one of Britain’s most versatile actors and has appeared in more than 80 films and TV series, including the seminal Withnail & I and Dr Who.
In recent years he has been seen on TV in Luther, A Mother’s Son, Ripper Street and The Bletchley Circle.
Three Sisters runs from April 3 to May 3.
