THEY stormed in to the public’s heart during the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and now the cast of Riverdance is celebrating their 20th anniversary with a tour that takes in the New Theatre Oxford from November 25.
With an incredible two decades of global success, this is an unmissable chance for UK audiences to reconnect with what the Irish Times rightly described as “The Original…The Best”.
Producer Moya Doherty said: “The success of Riverdance across the whole world has gone beyond our wildest dreams.
“The fact that the show continues to draw and excite audiences is a tribute to every dancer, singer, musician, staff and crew member who have dedicated themselves to the show.
“This 20th Anniversary Tour is a thank-you to our UK audiences and a celebration of what has been an incredible journey across two decades.”
Composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan, Riverdance has performed across the UK where it has been seen by more than 2.9 million people in well over 1,000 performances in 18 cities.
The worldwide TV audience for Riverdance is in excess of two billion people.
