Aylesbury Waterside’s sparkling pantomime Cinderella sees the return of entertainer Russell Grant who won everyone’s hearts in the venue’s 2011 panto.
The stunning Suzanne Shaw stars as Fairy Godmother and she’s joined by Aylesbury’s very own Andy Collins as Buttons.
Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Andrew Derbyshire is Prince Charming and singer/songwriter Holly Brewer is in the title role of Cinderella.
Suzanne Shaw got her break 2001 when the ITV show Popstars launched a competition for contestants to become part of the newly formed pop band, Hear’Say.
In 2008 Suzanne was crowned Dancing On Ice champion in TV’s prime-time ITV1 show and hit our screens again last year in the Champion of Champions series.
The singer is no stranger to the stage. As well as becoming a pantomime regular she has also appeared in Chicago as well as playing the Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Fresh out of the kitchen of this year’s 2014 Celebrity Masterchef, Russell Grant can’t wait to return to Aylesbury.
He said: ” This is like Christmas has come early! I had such a fabulous time in Peter Pan two years ago that when I was offered the chance to return I jumped at it.
“The town’s great, the theatre is gorgeous and the audiences were in a league of their own, a real blast to play to. I can’t wait!”
Back on a mission to get audiences rolling around the aisles is Andy Collins who will be celebrating his third panto in his hometown.
Andrew Derbyshire was plucked from ITV’s Pop Idol contest in 2001 to join the original cast of West End Musical We Will Rock You and has since been involved in Dirty Dancing, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and was most recently seen in Thriller on the UK Tour and in the West End.
The rags-to-riches fairy story is a real favourite with audiences and The Waterside’s features glittering costumes, bags of audience participation and real-life ponies.
Cinderella runs from December 12 Dec-January 4.
