You’d never think it by looking at him but children’s favourite, Sooty, is celebrating his 66th year in showbiz.
He returns to The Grove Theatre, Dunstable, with two daytime shows on April 9 to entertain the children for the Easter holidays.
Prepare for fun, magic and oodles of laughter. Joining Sooty will be Sweep, Soo, and Sooty’s TV partner Richard Cadell.
Sooty’s anniversary plans are going to pot. Sooty and Sweep are getting messy baking the birthday cake in the kitchen while Soo can’t seem to decide which dress to wear.
The Sooty Show began in 1948. His first human partner was the legend Harry Corbett. He passed the legacy of Sooty onto his son Matthew who continued to make the show up until 1989.
Since then, Richard Cadell has been Sooty’s newest partner.
Sooty has always been a huge hit with fans at The Grove so book early.
