The Jermyn Street Theatre, in London’s West End, launches is new matinee season with a Vivien: Letter To Larry by Donald Macdonald.
Starring Susie Lindeman, Letter to Larry brings to vivid life the making, and breaking, of Vivien Leigh.
In 1960, while starring in Duel Of Angels on Broadway, she received a letter from Laurence Olivier asking for a divorce.
Her response created a worldwide sensation, but a new revelation takes her to the edge. Her past flies into focus as she fights for his love…..and her life.
Vivien: Letter To Larry brings the spirit of Vivien back to the West End.
Lindeman’s stage credits include Sons of Cain; The Admirable Crichton (opposite Rex Harrison, Vivien’s early co-star); The Deep Blue Sea; A Dolls House; Kafka In Love.
Her screen credits include: Merchant Ivory’s Howards End, Maigret, French and Saunders, Robbery Under Arms, and her break-through lead role in award-winning Thames TV film Catherine.
Vivien: Letter To Larry runs at 2.30pm on selected days from Sept 29 – Nov 5.
