The full cast has been announced for the revival of Guys and Dolls, the first musical to be staged at Chichester’s Festival Theatre this summer following a major redevelopment.
Clare Foster returns to CFT to play Sarah Brown. Her previous outings at the venue include The Master and Margarita and Out of This World.
Other credits include West End productions of Merrily We Roll Along, Crazy for You, and Avenue Q.
Former History Boys star Jamie Parker plays Sky Masterton.
He previously appeared at Chichester in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead.
Other credits include Proof, Henry V, Henry IV Part I and Henry IV Part 2.
Peter Polycarpou plays Nathan Detroit. His Chichester credits include The Pajama Game, Sweeney Todd and Love Story, all of which have transferred to the West End.
Other credits include the West End productions of Les Misérables, Miss Saigon and Oklahoma! plus the hit TV sitcom, Birds of a Feather.
Sophie Thompson plays Miss Adelaide. Theatre credits include Clybourne Park and Into The Woods. She is well known to TV viewers for her role as Stella Crawford in EastEnders.
The Guys and Dolls cast also includes Etian Almeida, Karen Aspinal, Lucy Banfield, John Brannoch, Stephanie Bron, Nic Greenshields, Mark Heenehan, Ian Hughes, Daniel Ioannou, Melissa James, Anabel Kutay, Melanie La Barrie, Lucinda Lawrence, Adam Margilewski, Neil McCaul, Harry Morrison, Michael Peters, Carl Sanderson, Nick Wilton and Matthew Whennell-Clark.
Based on colourful stories about New York gamblers by Damon Runyon, the production will be directed by Gordon Greenberg, with choreography by Carlos Acosta, both making their débuts at Chichester.
Guys and Dolls will be at the Festival Theatre, Chichester from 11 August – 21 September.
