A veritable who’s who of musical theatre is joining together for the daddy of all charity shows.
Stellar performers from London and New York join soloists of the City of London Philharmonic and the West End Chorus to present an electrifying night of music in aid of charity.
The Night of Electric Voices will be heard in London’s largest theatre, the London Coliseum by Trafalgar Square on March 1.
Apart from other international guests (who will be announced in January), the stars for this unique evening will include the previously announced Adam Pascal (Broadway’s RENT and Memphis); Kerry Ellis(Wicked and Oliver!), and David Michael Johnson(We Will Rock You in Germany).
The concert will be introduced by one of the fathers of the rock musical, Tim Rice.
Joining the company will be Ricardo Afonso (Women On The Verge…, We Will Rock You), Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple, I Can’t Sing), David Bedella (Jerry Springer, The Rocky Horror Show), Daniel Boys (Spamalot, Avenue Q), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Les Misérables, The War of the Worlds), Tiffany Graves (Chicago, Tonight’s The Night) and Oliver Tompsett (We Will Rock You, Rock of Ages).
Featured will be Jesus Christ Superstar, We Will Rock You, The Rocky Horror Show, Chess, RENT, Hair, Little Shop of Horrors, Tommy, Aida and Memphis.
The spectacular show will once again be for the benefit of the Alan Jay Lerner Fundat the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity exists solely to support the Royal Marsden’s pioneering work in cancer research, diagnosis, treatment and care.
The Night of Electric Voices will be devised and directed by Hugh Wooldridge who says: “This evening is a must for all who love musicals.
