Brian Blessed directs and returns to the stage for Agatha Christie’s The Unexpected Guest, which opens this week at The Mill at Sonning, the country’s only dinner-theatre.
The Unexpected Guest is an intriguing whodunit that twists and turns towards an edge-of-your-seat climax, leaving the audience guessing right until the last chilling moment.
A stranger runs his car into a ditch on a dark and foggy evening.
He makes his way to an isolated house where he discovers a woman, Laura Warwick, standing over the dead body of her husband, a smoking gun in her hand.
What’s more, she admits to murder.
But a tangled web of lies reveals family secrets and chilling motives, making it possible that Laura did not commit the murder after all.
If so, who is she shielding? The house seems full of possible suspects…
Directed by Brian Blessed, the cast includes Luke Barton, Brian Blessed, Rosalind Blessed, Sean Browne, Alexander Neal, George Telferand Kate Tydman.
Having known and worked with Agatha Christie Brian Blessed returns to direct this classic show following Spider’s Web and The Hollow.
Running at The Mill at Sonning until July 28. All theatre tickets include a free, two-course, home cooked meal before the show.
